Aberystwyth University offers a range of flexible CPD courses and workshops covering a wide range of business focused themes.  In relation to our Aberystwyth Centre for Space and Earth Monitoring (ACSEM) we are pleased to offer courses in Geospatial Information Systems (GIS).

What is GIS?

A Geographic Information System (GIS) is a system designed to capture, store, manipulate, analyse, manage and present all types of spatial or geographical data.

With GIS you can:

About the Speaker

Marie Kelly has developed a wide range of GIS experience over the past 12 years (on both open source and commercial software) having completed a BSc and MSc at the University of Manchester and worked for the environmental engineering firm MWH. In 2012, Marie joined Aberystwyth University as a Theme Leader in remote sensing and spatial information for the WISE network, helping businesses develop their experience and use of remote sensing and GIS using mostly open source Quantum GIS software.
